Space Shuttle Discovery FLOWN insulation material

The Space Shuttle was the first reusable spaceship in the world. A total of six Space Shuttles were built: Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour.
Two Space Shuttles were lost in flight: Challenger (STS-51L) and Columbia (STS-107).

About 1'' triangle swatch of insulation material mounted on an 8x10 presentation with COA on the backside.

Discovery (OV-103) was NASA's third space-rated orbiter and was launched on Aug. 30, 1984, for its first mission, STS-41D. The last flight of the orbiter was mission STS-133 in 2011. Space Shuttle Discovery flew 39 times from 1984  to 2011 and spent altogether 365 days in space. Discovery now is the centerpiece of the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

The source of this piece is a scrapped part of the Shuttle by NASA.
