8" x 10" Space Shuttle Artifact Presentation Featuring Flown Fragments from All Five Orbital Space Shuttles
Own a remarkable piece of American spaceflight history with this professionally designed 8" x 10" presentation containing authentic flown material from all five NASA Space Shuttle orbiters: Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour.
The presentation features a striking Space Shuttle silhouette incorporating the names of the astronauts who flew aboard the Shuttle fleet, creating a fitting visual tribute to one of the most important programs in the history of human space exploration.
NASA’s Space Shuttle fleet consisted of six vehicles built for the program: Enterprise, used for atmospheric approach and landing tests, and the five space-capable orbiters Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour.
Challenger was lost during mission STS-51-L in 1986, and Columbia was lost during re-entry on STS-107 in 2003. The fragments included in this presentation are not associated with either of those final missions. The Columbia and Challenger materials were removed from the orbiters during earlier maintenance and servicing.
Today, the surviving Shuttle vehicles are preserved for public display in the United States:
-
Atlantis – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Florida
-
Discovery – Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Virginia
-
Enterprise – Intrepid Museum, New York
-
Endeavour – California Science Center, California
