Without a doubt the coolest, funniest, most unusual, sarcastic, and most incredible (draft) letter of an astronaut out there - and not only by just an astronaut but by John Young himself :

8x10 draft letter to the "Honorable Lloyd Bentsen" US Senate replying to an autograph request for deceased astronauts stating "he will have to call on a higher power than resides in the astronaut office....thank you for even considering that we could bring them back for signatures, NASA is not staffed to do research in that area - maybe Health and Human Services can help".

He then adds in his handwriting (to his secretary?) :

"Charlotte, well I like my answer better but we better use Jack Murphy's standard attached letter for this auto pest - (signed) Y "
