Expedition 42 – large crewsigned photo
Article No.: 13330
From the celebrated astrophilatelic collection of Jacques Bracke
An exceptionally scarce 8 x 10 inch Expedition 42 crew photograph, hand-signed by all six members of the International Space Station’s landmark 2014–2015 expedition. Preserved in mint condition, this is a highly desirable complete-crew autograph piece from one of the most internationally diverse ISS expeditions of its era.
The photograph is signed by:
- Elena Serova — Russian cosmonaut and the first Russian woman to live aboard the International Space Station
- Samantha Cristoforetti — ESA astronaut from Italy and one of Europe’s most celebrated modern spacefarers
- Barry “Butch” Wilmore — NASA astronaut and Expedition 42 commander
- Alexander Samokutyaev — Russian cosmonaut and Soyuz commander
- Anton Shkaplerov — Russian cosmonaut and veteran long-duration ISS crew member
- Terry Virts — NASA astronaut, Space Shuttle pilot, ISS commander, and renowned space photographer
Expedition 42 occupied the ISS from November 2014 through March 2015, a period marked by intensive scientific research, international cooperation, visiting cargo vehicles, and continued preparation for the station’s long-term role as humanity’s permanent laboratory in low Earth orbit. The crew arrived in two Soyuz flights and represented NASA, Roscosmos, and the European Space Agency, reflecting the enduring multinational character of the ISS program.
Complete Expedition 42 crew-signed photographs are rarely encountered, particularly in such clean, mint presentation. The inclusion of Elena Serova and Samantha Cristoforetti adds special importance: both are among the most significant European and Russian female space explorers of their generation, while Wilmore, Virts, Samokutyaev, and Shkaplerov provide a strong complement of veteran American and Russian ISS flyers.
Samokutyaev recently passed away at only 56 years old.
With six authentic crew signatures, excellent condition, and the distinguished Jacques Bracke provenance, this is a superb centerpiece for collectors of International Space Station history, complete crew-signed photographs, women in space, or modern astronaut autographs.
