Apollo 11 - the first lunar landing with Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins in July 1969. Armstrong and Aldrin where the first human beings to set their footprint on the moon.

Offered as a unique setting :
A flown piece of the Command Module "Columbia" along with an (unflown) spare original piece of the Lunar Module "Eagle".

Acrylic block containing a flown piece of Kapton flown to the moon on Apollo 11 and a spare unflown Kapton foil fragment removed from the LM before the flight. Since the LM didn't fly back to earth, no flown parts do exist obviously.

Made out of the most advanced acrylic available on the market today - Plexid 55 - these are ultraclear with no discoloration over time. Unlike other privately made acrylics or lucites these are real blocks, not cheaply glued or screwed together. Each block is about 5''x3''x1'' in size - perfect for any office table or even flat down in a cabinet.

The flown CM Kapton foil is originally from the collection of William Whipkey, NASA JSC head of machine shop and the unflown LM Kapton foil is from the collection of Ron Daugherty, president of the Challenger society.

Only 50 such acrylics were made.

All our presentations, acrylics and other merchandising articles made or produced by BeenInSpace or Artifactcloud do come with an attached or separate certificate of authenticity (COA) and are guaranteed authentic without any limits.
