Apollo 14 flown to the Moon kapton foil presentation

Triangle Apollo 14 flown Kapton foil material swatch mounted on an 8x10 presentation certified on the backside.

Apollo 14 was the third successful mission to land on the Moon and the first to land in the lunar highlands. The mission was postponed after the "successful failure" of Apollo 13 for needed modifications of the spacecraft.

The crew of Commander Alan Shepard, Command Module Pilot (CMP) Stuart Roosa, and Lunar Module Pilot (LMP) Edgar Mitchell launched on January 31, 1971. Shepard and Mitchell landed on the lunar surface on February 5 in the Fra Mauro formation and collected 94.35 pounds (42.80 kg) of Moon rocks and deployed several experiments.

Jack Roosa remained in lunar orbit. He took several hundred seeds on the mission, many of which were germinated on return, resulting in "Moon trees".

The three astronauts returned to Earth and splashed down safely on February 9.

This edition is limited to 40 presentations only.
