Soyuz MS-21 / SpaceX Crew-4 Flown ISS Cover – Expedition 67 Cover – Jacques Bracke Collection
A rare flown International Space Station cover from Expedition 67, associated with both Soyuz MS-21 and SpaceX Crew-4, hand-signed by the resident astronauts and cosmonauts and bearing onboard ISS cancellations dated July 16 and August 19, 2022. (year cancel in 19.8. is wrong, "21" instead of "22")
The seven-member Expedition 67 crew represented on this period comprised Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveev, Sergey Korsakov, Kjell Lindgren, Robert Hines, Jessica Watkins, and Samantha Cristoforetti. Artemyev, Matveev and Korsakov reached the station aboard Soyuz MS-21, while Lindgren, Hines, Watkins and Cristoforetti arrived aboard SpaceX Crew Dragon Freedom on Crew-4.
Expedition 67 was an importantmission encompassing extensive scientific research, station maintenance, spacewalk activity and continuing operations by both Russian Soyuz and NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Crew-4 also marked the first flight of the new Crew Dragon spacecraft Freedom.
The two onboard cancellations, separated by more than a month, make this an especially attractive long-duration flown postal artifact, documenting the cover’s continuing presence aboard the ISS.
Provenance: From the personal collection of renowned astrophilatelist Jacques Bracke.
A scarce crew-signed flown ISS cover uniting Soyuz MS-21 and SpaceX Crew-4—two distinct human spaceflight systems serving together during Expedition 67 and illustrating the continuing international character of the International Space Station.
