Expedition 28 Flown ISS Cover – Complete Crew-Signed – Jacques Bracke Collection
A scarce flown International Space Station cover from Expedition 28, hand-signed by the complete six-member resident crew: Andrey Borisenko, Alexander Samokutyaev, Ronald Garan, Sergei Volkov, Michael Fossum, and Satoshi Furukawa.
Expedition 28 took place in 2011 during a historically important transition in human spaceflight. The crew conducted extensive scientific research, station maintenance, and spacewalk activities while supporting the final phase of NASA’s Space Shuttle Program. During the expedition, Space Shuttle Atlantis arrived on STS-135, the last Shuttle mission in history and the final Shuttle docking with the ISS.
The mission therefore stands at the intersection of two eras: the conclusion of three decades of Space Shuttle operations and the emergence of the ISS as a fully established long-duration orbital laboratory supported primarily by Soyuz and international partner spacecraft.
Provenance: From the personal collection of renowned astrophilatelist Jacques Bracke.
A highly desirable flown and complete crew-signed artifact from an expedition directly connected with the final chapter of the Space Shuttle era and the continuing history of permanent human presence aboard the International Space Station.
