oskhod 1 & Voskhod 2 — Official KNIGA Signed Cover Set (Dual Astronaut Crews, With COAs)

An exceptional and historically rich pairing, this set of two official KNIGA commemorative covers honors the groundbreaking Soviet Voskhod program—featuring authentic hand-signed autographs from the full crews of both Voskhod 1 and Voskhod 2.

Voskhod 1, launched in October 1964, marked a dramatic leap in spaceflight capability as the first mission to carry a multi-person crew into orbit without spacesuits. Its crew—Vladimir Komarov, Konstantin Feoktistov, and Boris Yegorov—represented a diverse team of pilot, engineer, and physician, showcasing the Soviet Union’s ambition to expand human spaceflight beyond the single-cosmonaut Vostok missions.

Voskhod 2, launched in March 1965, secured its place in history with one of the most daring achievements of the Space Race: the first human spacewalk. During this mission, Alexei Leonov became the first person to exit a spacecraft and float freely in space, while commander Pavel Belyayev piloted the mission under extreme and often perilous conditions.

These official KNIGA covers—produced by the Soviet state publishing house known for issuing authentic philatelic and space-related collectibles—are signed by all five cosmonauts across the two missions, making this a complete and highly desirable set. Such dual-crew signed groupings are increasingly scarce, particularly with verified provenance.

Accompanying the covers are the original KNIGA Certificates of Authenticity for both pieces, further affirming their legitimacy and collector value.

A remarkable set that captures two pivotal “firsts” of human space exploration—the first multi-person spacecraft and the first spacewalk—this offering is a museum-worthy tribute to the courage and innovation of the early Space Race.
