Dolores "Dee" O'Hara was the first nurse to America's first astronauts. In November 1959, O'Hara became the first Staff Nurse of the Mercury Program. During the Gemini Program she worked with the astronauts and their families. Dee O'Hara also supported the Apollo astronauts.
