What makes this piece truly exceptional is its provenance: it comes directly from the personal collection of Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin, the Lunar Module Pilot on the mission. The flag is accompanied by Jim Irwin’s hand-signed and notarized certificate of authenticity, providing undeniable proof of its authenticity and historic significance.

Additionally, the flag includes the original yellow envelope Jim Irwin personally used to store his flown flags, which is signed by Irwin on the backside, further enhancing its collectible value.
