The Gemini project was NASA's human spaceflight program after Mercury and built a bridge to Apollo from 1961 to1966. Each of the ten Gemini flight carried a spacecraft with two astronauts into low Earth orbit during 1965 and 1966. The main goal of the Gemini program was the development and test of space travel techniques to support the planned Apollo mission to land astronauts on the Moon. All Gemini flights were launched from Launch Complex 19 (LC-19) at Cape Kennedy.
