Mercury MA-6 FLOWN large heatshield vintage penholder display

Only the second flown Mercury MA-6 John Glenn heatshield we have seen in more than 20 years :

Vintage wooden penholder display with a large 1x1x0.85'' flown heatshield block from "Friendship 7" that carried John Glenn as the first American into orbit February 20th 1962.

Overall good condition with some scratches that do not detract.
